I experience this problem too. For me it's a real show stopper, I like
the desktop effect especially Expose. But without windows snapping to
the desktop edges, it's something I wouldn't enable.

I see, although that bug says it occurs with Times New Roman, I think it also
occurs with other fonts.
But still it's a real pitty nobody looked into this, it makes me use OOo (and
older version) on Windows cause that one doesn't have the problems.

I can confirm this bug, it's bin there I think since Edgy Eft.
It's not a real show stopper, but handing in a paper or an official document
which doesn't even have the dots in the table of content rendered correctly
will have an unprofessional look over it before anyone ever reads it.

The volume up, down and mute buttons work, but this is functionality in Gnome

In the latest version (0.8.0) this seems to be fixed, I don't experience
this problem anymore and in dvd-slideshow.sh the parameter -S 420mpeg2
or -S 420_mpeg2 is used on every call of ppmtoy4m.
I think this bug can be closed.

I have had the same problem as human described above:
So i did boot with livecd and i did mount the ubuntu partition, edit menu.lst
and notified that the script configured ubuntu to start from (hd1,0)
instead of (hd2,0). I correct it and add the
windows entry, remove menu.lst and everything
I can also confirm this behavior.

That did also fix the issue for me, except for the fact that scanning

Apple does something like this too, in MacOSX.
It has a few folders with specific purposes, and they all have a different icon
(comparable to an emblem).

I think it's a waste of time trying to get it to work with ogg123 and
mpg321, we should just wait for Nautilus to use GStreamer, then a lot of
problems will be solved. And using GStreamer is definitely the way to
go.
This just popped up a thought, what does Nautilus use to render previews
of

a GDM theme with userbrowser/facebrowser called Happy GNOME with Browser but
does not deliver one in Ubuntu Human style.
In my opinion it would be a real good thing if at least one Human style GDM

I installed Ubuntu on a PC for a normal Windows user some days ago.
He didn't like the idea to retype his name everytime to login, so I went with a
face browser, so he could select one of the user accounts and then enter the
password.

keyboard, but really nice to skip to the next track for example, without
switching back to Rhythmbox.)

messages in INBOX on this server checked, but still the filters don't apply.
However a few E-Mails I applyed the filters on in the first days after the
install did move to the

Oh WOOPS, I just found a strange thing which caused the bug I was describing.
When adding a filter the Find items dropdown has the option If all criteria
are met selected by default, whereas with the first filter I made it had If
any criteria are met. So I assumed that every other filter I added

I too have the same problem I added the contacts using rightclick on the
address in an E-Mail and adding them to the contacts.
None of them appear in the recipients selector, when composing a new
