i have to ask the question again, is it posible to make the touchscreen
work in singletouch mode or not? i really really want to know.
on my search for a solution i found a script that allows me to move the pointer
all over the screen, but its slow and interferes with the left corner phenomen.
tested it with lucid x64, got the same result...
applied the patch. i had some problems with the cailbration. font
*freemono* was not there, i solved it by replacing it only with a *,
afterwards i was able to calibrate, but no changes. the pointer is
always jumping into the left corner.

i'm not sure if this is the same problem, but i tried to get empathy
working with pidgin-skype and had no luck. i wasn't enable to create a
account with bigbrownchunx-skype-dbus in empathy, but it worked with
installing skype4pidgin. only problem, the plugin depends on pidgin. i
made a new
one more information, skype doesn't autostart if empathy ist started.
besides that i wanted to say that i am not really a linux pro. so i am
unable to say why it works or why pidgin-skype isn't. i only wanted to

Just to inform all that this has been fixed in latest glibc, I'm on Arch
Linux and we've already gotten the fix. For those using Ubuntu 9.04, I
doubt its coming your way due to the freeze policy Ubuntu has on its
releases (I think only security-related patches are released).
Anyway, the problem
It is a VPS, it should be a custom kernel, I think. So you think it is
the kernel issue? What should I look into then, so that I can at least
feedback to the hosting.
