Not only evolution is freezing, mouse doesn't work anymore, hitting a

Hi,
you have to put Front Mic to 100% and Front Mic Boost to 0% in your HDA Intel
(Alsa mixer). Maybe you have to set Recorder to 100% and activate the mic, but
it seems like it is tuning itself down while using skype.
Then start skype and set all audio on HDA Intel (hw:Intel,0) and do the test

Hi,
as I already wrote on Bug 312403 (which btw might be a duplicate of this
one) I put
options snd-hda-intel model=basic
into the /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base(.conf)
and now the internal microphone works great.

Hi there,
I can confirm this bug on Jaunty Final. What happens is, that I start
the system and suddenly when its on the desktop it freezes. Demounting

(apr07) daily jaunty live CD (i386) freeze with D-Link DWL-520+ PCI wifi card
Update:
Problem does not occur by replacing network-manager with wicd.
Unfortunately the DWL-520+ can only connect to a D-Link Dl-614+ (which
is the matching 22Mbit-router) without encryption. When I turn on any
possible mode ( WEP HEX open/shared, WEP ASCII open/shared, WPA-PSK) of
encryption
Not for me, I still have the problem eventhough I installed linux-
backports-modules-jaunty.
