The Hotkey for dis/enabling the touchpad isn't working for me.
I tried to track the Problem down, but without luck.
While pressing the key, acpi_listen says:

This is the correct entry in

This should be easily possible, even with Unity. It isn't a magic trick
to find out if an instance of Unity is running. It should be possible to
do things that worked before. Logging out to deacivate desktop-effects
is not really a solution that promises comfort.
