the default Xorg, while that fixed the resolution Unity/borders still

in that, my workaround is choosing the standard Xorg drivers, then Skype
will launch and run fine. Using the Nvidia 304, 310 or 313 drivers will
cause Skype to crash when I try to start it. Is thus the same problem
then?

I've made a breakthrough in understanding this problem. It seems to give
me a 100% workaround but of course I can't be sure.
The solution is to use taskset to force the Xorg and compiz
processes to always be run on the same CPU. The simple terminal commands
are:
taskset -pa 1 $(pgrep -x
I have also entered a bug in the bugzilla at freedesktop.org. This bug
is number 58594. I was advised in response to that bug that many changes
have been made in related software recently and I should try a drm-
intel daily build of kernel 3.7.0 plus the entire suite of xorg-

I've looked into this further.
First, the bug is heavily related to screen, keyboard, and/or mouse
activity. If I set up two monitors and don't have anything going on more
interesting than the clock changing once a minute, all is fine for
hours. If I set up activities on both screens and start

Using nvida-current drivers the GeForce 6200 opengl performance is
insanely slow. glxgears gives around 2-3 fps.
I've tried the open source drivers and they only give 120 fps.

I open 'ContactSend File' and then a window pops up so I can select a
file to send. I select a file and hit the Send
I have this problem as well - its very annoying. So what i do to work
around it is this.
1.) Set tab to not always show (get extra real estate)
2.) Dont run in full screen
3.) Expand window full, but then choose scale mode so you can see everything
(CTRL + S)

Tried the Linux 3.2 that had also been installed and this

The only difference in my case is disconnecting and reconnecting in
Network Manager makes no difference. Have to log out and back in to
reconnect the connection. But Network Manager shows the WiFi signal is
strong at all times and other devices can use the internet, just my two
12.10 machines

I deleted the file. Restarted the computer. Opened the dash. Selected
the legal notice. Ran a backup. No error at the end of the backup.
So, for me, this is fixed.
