Trash Bin icon distorted after coming out of hibernation in Ubuntu 10.04
This problem also manifested itself coming out of hibernation. GNOME/pm-
utils upstream believes that it was a driver issue that caused the
glitch. Because this happened coming fresh from a clean shutdown, it
seems this problem is due to the radeon driver:
sudo lshw -c display | grep driver
I upgraded to Lucid and the problem seems to be resolved. If it happens

I have an HP Officejet 5610v USB connected to a Toshiba Satellite

power cycle the printer, disconnect then reconnect the USB cable, and
click System - Administration - Printing - right click the printer
icon and check Enabled.
A new version of VirtualBox (3.2.6) has been released, with a work
around for Linux hosts with the ext4 filesystem, which is most likely
the cause of this bug. Downloaded the newest version of VBox, and
successfully installed and updated a Ubuntu 10.04 VM. Hence, this bug is

This bug is a unfamiliarity with how to use OCRAD. No documentation
exists through a search via www.ubuntu.com Hence, this is more a request
to boil down the OCRAD manual (

something more streamlined and easy to understand and use.

Ubuntu 10.04 does not successfully hibernate
Dan, thank you for answering my questions. Regarding the GART error
inquiry:

for example at my log file, the line had looked like
kernel: [ 9.020414] [drm:rs400_gart_adjust_size] *ERROR* Forcing to 32M GART
size (because of ASIC bug ?)
Yes, in the bug attachment
I successfully hibernated after following the nomodeset recommendation
for GRUB2 found at:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/LucidLynx/ReleaseNotes
It mentions changing a line from /etc/default/grub to:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX=nomodeset
I saved the file, ran sudo update-grub, then I was able to hibernate
