a beep about 5 min. after boot and then after resume spurious irq 7 disabling
... usb did not work after resume but does continue to work when I plug in a
usb mouse before suspend.

Ok installed valgrind
but what arguments do i give nautilus-cd-burner to copy-disk
to make space for a .iso I had to format my hp windows recovery partition (oh
no)
to ext3 and I seem to only be able to mount as root with root permissions. ?
mc says that it belongs to me? /home/me/Desktop/stuff.

this was a very random kind of bug.
I did successfully start jackd.
what I mean is ... this is difficult to reproduce.
I cannot honestly say that I know the events that led to this happening.
I was just repeatedly starting and stopping jackd. whenever the blue light on
my unit stayed on no

Ok there is a new kernel 2.6.20-10.6 first it says something about bios
bug on the very first screen, before the ubuntu logo and bar, and then
just stops when loading mannul drivers and kernel modules even with
noapic so ... have to use 2.6.20-9.6 for now
