nothing official is stated, it's
good to have direction and some goals.
Papercuts +2. Refinements like those taken care of with papercuts are
more important than one would think for the image of Ubuntu. Great
idea. Are these fixes traveling upstream when applicable (to Debian,
if not to the
training, you know.
Correct me if I'm wrong, really. I would like any insight possible, I
am just sharing my thoughts on the matter.

One thing I've offered to do is to go through the server guide and
verify that the instructions given are valid. I could do this over
some days in Christmas, perhaps.

the server guide on doc.ubuntu.com should be moved to help.ubuntu.com
as the 8.10 guide. If you need any help verifying instructions, give
me a heads up.

for the new release, especially the vm-builder updates. Good work,

someone who needs to have instructions from dropping the CD in to
configuring the system in general. I hope this helps.

Finally, don't EVER tell people "Use Windows for a GUI". That is a
misguided statement that does not take into consideration of the other
MANY reasons why someone would be using a Linux box over a Windows
one.

ou have more of the "FAI" and "configure

program that takes the desired specs and creates an ISO to their
liking so they can install it. However, I see your point, this should
be more about automated, custom, easy to
pe my ideas are of some inspiration, and that I could possibly
help in the conception of this project.

I just saw this as I emailed you, Soren.
I'll be studying virt-manager as well.

Soren and others,
oVirt or Enomalism as a remote VM manager would be absolutely fantastic.
Currently, oVirt is set up so that you put it on its own guest VM,
though "Brazen" (Dinkel?) says it will not always be so.
Enomalism is written in Python and uses MySQL for something, I don't
know EXACTLY
Filter by address, I guess. That's what I do.

As far as I know, tasksel integrates all the services and sets them up
with default options. To be honest, I've never setup each component
separately (In Linux).

P.S. I'm not an Ubuntu expert, merely an enthusiast. If you need more
gritty details, wait for a dev to reply. However, as Ubuntu's packages
are based on Debian, most technical details will be identical.
