I believe english copy of code of conduct should be signed for two reasons:
a) As with any text code of coduct can not be translated exactly, but will
always (ignoring various possible mistranslations) have at least slightly
different tone /setting than the original one
About videos:
It does not have to necessarily include a lot of speech / text. It can be
just used for demonstrating simpel things.
I can say from experience that a simple one minute video with no text (i
thought recordmydesktop won't record sound, silly me), just showing how you

As far as i know openoffice is not supposed to be translated in launchpad
(that's why it's restricted). It's imported in launchpad only for
calculation of translation statistics.
Openoffice should be translated in upstream. Check this link for more

I also believe fixed, predicatble schedules are the best way to better
quality.

each local translation team.

I would say 2-3 translation updates for normal release and 5 for LTS.

In slovenian team we get about 80% of 3rd party bug reports (from people who
are not member of any translation team) in the period of 2 weeks, between
the release of RC and 1 week after final release. This is the time when most
users upgrade and hence also report bugs.
