Hi, its really odd because on the Ubuntu forums it says that it is easy
to install the dongle as Intrepid recognises the software, but it wont,
I even tried to install it through Wine, but it wouldnt even do that.
It wasnt the dongle either because we tried two of them. It seems to
block the so

I wanted to try get Orange Wireless on here, as I have Orange with my
mobile. I went into the shop, and they allowed me to try installing the
dongle with one of their SIM cards, and the dongle.
Well, I was in there for about an hour, and it just wasnt having it. It

Ever since 8.10 was released, I've carried with me a copy of Intrepid on my
1Gb USB key, since it's bundled along with my flat keys. I was wondering
about making the install a little more customised - at the moment it's just
the standard live CD on a USB, but I'd like to make something that may loa
The problem with Firefox / Thunderbird is they are profile-based. So,
you will find Thunderbird application store directory at
~/.mozilla-thunderbird/somerandomname.default/

~/.mozilla-thunderbird/yourprofilename.
Josh,
By the look of the wiki
(https://wiki.ubuntu.com/GlobalBugJam/Birmingham) there is a number we

What time are you planning to get there so we don't have some poor
soul driving backwards and forwards?

Whilst Lightning is topical - I have several machines running
Thunderbird, both Ubuntu and Windows versions.
I wonder if anyone can tell me where Lightning stores its data and under
what name as I would like to be able to share the same data on all the
machines. Or alternatively does anyone h

I have the 'never' on my netbook too and LAN works fine so that
appears just to be a red herring. Like the others say if you can try
it on someone else's router as it sounds like your may be the
problem...or (less likely) it could be the cable.
For the auto-eth section of your manual settings you c
