Note, no less than 7 different models.
But if you select any, the only OS offered is Win 7. A sales rep told me
that they no longer supply Ubuntu pre-installed, and that if I installed
it my hardware would lose it's guarantee.

Out of curiosity I went into Currys Digital on Saturday - they too are
only selling Windows 7 machines and say installing another OS would
invalidate the hardware guarantee.

local disk, and couldn't see Desktop. The drop-down showed

was no such file or folder.

I'm using Ubuntu 9.10, Intel Celeron D, 433 memory, ATI graphics.
My /home is up to 94% suddenly, so could that be it? I really must

Ignore me - I didn't have enough spaces so it was trying to import the
email add into a nickname field. I've added some extra blank columns
and now it's happy.

I saw today that Micro Mart and Computer Active both feature Linux on
the front cover, seemed aimed at beginners or those who haven't tried it
before. Computer Active had Ubuntu 9.04 and another distro on the CD.

I see the official release date is April 23, St George's Day. I'm sure
