I know it isn't a district but there is something you should try using on that machine if you only have 256MB of RAM, ZRAM aka compcache ( https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zram ). Find whatever light distribution and try that on it, it should help with the low memory situation. Many android devices
