What about people who don't live in California? They would still be welcome if
they wanted. Being a resident isn't a qualification is it?

Smart.
Much better than "ever expanding" lists full of old, dead, email addresses or as
you state "UNSUBSCRIBE ME!11".
Impressive forethought into the process; very nice.

Hey,
I just got an email that my Launchpad account was about to expire. Not a problem
to go in and renew again, but what's up with the expirations?

I'll try it again and see what happens. I'll let you know.

I know (or think I know) about it. =)
In all honesty, I believe the best way is to ask questions.

Also, this is simply a localhost installation that doesn't see the
outside but simply a platform for learning so strict permissions is not
a big priority as much as just getting the process to work then go from
there.

As for WD drives, I have never used anything but based on 15 year old
advice which seems to have served me well. At least for "internal"
drives. I use a Fantom fanless eSATA for an external and it has worked
flawless for like the last 4 years so I can honestly recommen
always heard from others to "only" use WD drives and avoid
Seagate. While I have always followed this advice I can hostly say I
have NEVER had a drive crash internally or externally.
I've also been told to avoid PNY RAM for what it's worth. : )

Hi All,
I'm (fairly) confident Hurricane Electric would let us use their
facilities for hosting some sort of event if someone has something in
mind. As this is my first year getting involved with UbuntuCA as well as
the local CA LUGs I'm not sure what kinds of s
e my first irc meeting with you guys and I'm excited to be a
part of the discussion. : )
I'm looking forward to the SF party coming up.
