Have the same problem with the video tearing while playing a dvd with or
without compiz turned on, so also with the gtk metacity manager, the dvd
shows big lines. All the other movie files are fine, except dvd. I tried

glGetError should be used to get the type of the error...)

Alright I took a hint from Dima and tried the hardy libGL.so.1. It
worked perfectly. Then i tried the other versions. I tried the jaunty,
jaunty, and karmic, ALL OF THEM WORKED! I'm not really sure what that

reports of this problem on the Arch distro, I went ahead and tried
Chakra Linux alpha2 live CD, a distro derived from Arch. I was able to
reproduce the bug right from start, but I only noticed it when looking
