Eero,
you're right - false alarm, not fixed, mine disappeared again, ATI
Radeon Mobility 7500 graphics on IBM Thinkpad T40 notebook.
I have keyboard setup to locate cursor on pressing Ctrl, then navigate
to Preferences, Display, Detect Monitors Apply, Keep, Close. On every
boot.

@Rolf Leggewie:
In case you missed it. :-) since it is a bug affecting only a particular
keyboard layout. this bug was invalidated as a papercut.
We read through several bugs and if each user starts to re-open bugs [that too
within the same day], since they are affected by it. It becomes

Btw , The Ibus bug affects all users and the default system preferences menu
uses the term Ibus preferences which is a design flaw. None of the
preferences menu items are to have the ending preferences. Also the whole Ibus
is not clear in its functions.
Any user can select the option and wonder

This seems like much more than a wish-list level problem. Many home
computers are used by more than one person, and with this bug, the
usability of Ubuntu is quite diminished.
This will be a problem especially with Lucid if my understanding that
the radeonhd driver is being removed is correct.
I've also read a report which quoted sources at Taiwanese motherboard
manufacturers (sounds dodgy, I know) as stating that Clarkdale is
forecast to reach 20% of Intel's sales during this quarter. If this is
true it's definitely something we want to support in an LTS release,
preferably sooner
This bug is already fixed in KMS driver. If Lucid enables KMS by
default the problem will be fixed.

dicka, slow flash might be independent of the graphics driver - try
removing the swfdec-mozilla package (disabling in Firefox is not enough)
if you are using the Adobe flashplugin-installer. Sorry I can't find the
bug reference.

Since I upgraded to 10.04 with the 2.6.33rc7 kernel, I've seen zero
problems until today. (about 12 days)
My machine locked up again with X crashing. It had crashed while one of
the screensavers were running.
This sounds similar to Phoronix's experience where they said things were
better, but
