prompt.

I currently have two possible workarounds : nomodeset or booting the
Karmic kernel (that I kept for that kind of situation).
For me, there's no problem of course. I use beta release to find such
bugs but I hope it will be fixed before the final release. The strange
point is that it

It seems multiple users are reporting the same issue. Caused not only by
trying to suspend, but also switching users. See bug duplicates.

Here is a backtrace.
I hope this is sufficient but there is still a ?? beside libglx.so. I
have installed the debug symbols for xserver-xorg-core-dbg, libgl1-mesa-

I believe one of the problems with this bug's fix is that it can't be
nominated for Lucid because the option for Lucid is not available when
clicking Nominate.
Another problem is that there's not anyone whose job it is to manage the
project of fixing this bug.
Fixing this problem involves a

Today my system is currently up and running for more than seven and a half
hours (not always manned).
But have not encountered one single crash! it is looking very hopeful!
Thanks Geir for the effort
Georg Duffner - thank you. It's possible that this is a problem in the
kernel framebuffer or in some other Lucid component relating to the
newer kernel.
I still have kernel 2.6.31-20-generic in my Lucid /boot directory, and
was able to boot into this. The login screen came up properly, and the
