What looks to be different between the two systems is the monitors,
which seem to be a rev number different. This sounds minor but the EDID

What are the error messages you see every 2 seconds? Can you paste them
in?
You mention a big white box, can you attach a photograph of the screen
as an example (just in case there is some additional clues).
Also try turning off Desktop Effects and see if that affects the issue -

libraries. Sounds like you need some tech support to restore your
system's configuration.

The driver is alright.
It detects the card and displays the message AGP Card Detected. But after
that it checks if it is a from RS400 family and corrects it to CARD_PCI, but

One interesting piece of information: I forgot to disable visual effects
when I rebooted after re-enabling KMS. When I logged in, performance
was not that bad. It is noticeably slower than with UMS but still
usable. No 1-2s freezes when moving a window as happened when I enabled
visual effects
