I just reproduced the problem on a T61 and opened the lid. I could login
and saw that the displays were not cloned, but that the external display
was set as secondary display. The screensaver login screen will only

bright-display issue is fixed, however a new issues are introduced by

Yes, it looks like I'm unable to horizontal scroll.
This is the output of
$ cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log | grep -i mouse
PS: it's the same with lastest xorg* updates from Lucid and with
packages from xorg-edgers PPA

I couldn't either until I actually set up xorg. Apparently after installing the
driver the xorg.conf file did not get created so it wasn't actually using the
driver, even though sysinfo said it was being used

I just attempted in ubuntu 10.04 the procedure which worked in 9.04 ...
and it did not work.
apt-get install xserver-xorg-input-evtouch:
- does NOT create the file 50-touchkit.fdi in
/usr/share/hal/fdi/policy/20thirdparty
- does NOT install calibrate_touchscreen
- when 50-touchkit.fdi is copied
Can you tell us how you setup xorg so we can get this working?

I am running Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx X64 edition with a Radeon HD
4670 1GB AGP card and a pair of 21 in IBM P275 CRT screens. Currently
Ubuntu limits me to 1600x1200 @ 60hz. If I were to use a different OS I
