I noticed this might be related to subpixel smoothing. When switching to
monochrome font rendering the size of the label exactly matches the
calculated size found in the logs. With subpixel smoothing enabled the
label seems to be a bit wider.

To me, this happens as well, using Lucid Lynx 64 bit. Even if the
PS/2-keyboard is unplugged, the key which decided to get stuck keeps
repeating.
What I would like to point out:
It only happens when tpying in forms displayed of Firefox (so NOT during
any other application of Ubuntu), and then the

Hi!
I have a Asus Eee PC 901 as well and have noticed this bug. I actually
had it on natty as well when trying a 3.0 linux kernel, going back to
2.6.39 made the touchpad work as expected again.
I have attached the requested log files log files for both running 3.0 and
2.6.39.

Hello.
This bug also affects other graphics cards. I have ATI Radeon RV370 X550
and it has the same problem. None of the suggestions above have solved
the problem. It started to occur when I installed 11.04, I'm using 11.10
Alpha 3 now and there is still the same problem here.

Thank you for your working on this bug.
I attached the three logs. I hope I did the xev testing correctly and xev.log
contains all necessary information. I tried a left click, then some right
clicks and finally some dragging.

Thanks. From now until six months after f.d.o #39962 is fixed, I'll
assume all GPU lockup errors are duplicates of this one and will not
report them (notwithstanding bug 732030 and 732725, which were
apparently a separate problem).
Is bug 741653 a duplicate of this one as well?
