Ok thanks. I hope you are correct, but I suspect it may be more than one
package involved. Unfortunately I do not have enough knowledge to know
if it is xorg, nvidia, compiz, unity or any other related packages.

As a workaround, I created ~/.gtkrc-2.0 and added 'gtk-double-click-time

I am running Cataylst drivers on ATI hardware and see the same behavior.
This needs to be moved to a more general topic than nvidia driver bug.
Also, it may be related, but often times the window will open with the
title bar and menus offscreen top left. Have to use the keyboard to move
it back.

I've got the same as comment #16. 12.4 beta with dual monitors. Computer
starts with cloned displays and when I try to chance amdcccle crashes,
but applies changes. Changes are lost on restart though and so have to
go through whole process again. The interesting thing is that the
