[Ubuntu-x-swat] [Bug 558690] Re: parts of window displayed in wrong place on desktop

2014-01-09 Thread Karl Fogel
I won't have time to test this with the latest Ubuntu (I'm running stock Debian now, and don't use an external monitor on a regular basis anymore). Given that the report is from almost four years ago, it's probably safe to close it. Thank you. -- You received this bug notification because you a

FWIW I am also seeing the exact same bug in a fresh Debian 'testing' installation, up-to-date as of 2010-06-30. The box is a Lenovo ThinkPad T510, with a ViewSonic VA2323wm 23" external monitor, and uname says "Linux 2.6.32-5-amd64 #1 SMP Tue Jun 1 04:34:03 UTC 2010 x86_64 GNU/Linux". 'xrandr --v

That does indeed look very similar. But I'm not (consciously) using xrandr for anything. Is there some standard process that invokes it? -- parts of window displayed in wrong place on desktop https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/558690 You received this bug notification because you are a member of U

Thanks for all the help, Bryce. No desktop effects enabled, AFAIK, and no 3D graphics either (I mostly live in Emacs and Firefox). FWIW, I was using an external monitor setup then (mirrored screens, w/ laptop screen and one external screen). Now I'm using just the laptop screen, after rebooting.
