Same thing happens with the AMD video drivers, and I figured out the
workaround myself.
It's pretty absurd though that a bug like this can make it through
release.

logged in has been to begin using only the onboard graphic card instead
of my Nvidia. In order to do that, I blacklisted all the drivers from
Nvidia.

I haven't had an opportunity to test all the permutations of disabling
the various ports in xorg.conf, but I have noticed the same problem of
the slow mouse even with all the ports disabled except for LVDS1 and
VGA1. So, the problem seems to be difficult to reproduce consistently
and might not even
I'll try removing the entries one by one to report the problematic
one(s) later. For now, I can tell you that I only see a VGA port on the
side of my laptop. The other ports are probably used by the docking
station but I don't have one, nor do I know anyone with one.

Mouse is very slow after starting a session on Precise

I made a fresh install of Precise on a Lenovo X200 a couple weeks ago.
When I start a new session after booting, the mouse is very slow and it
feels like something might be taking up lots of resources on the system.
After a few minutes, the problem goes away and the mouse work

to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security
issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to
