2:15.200-0ubuntu0.3 has been pushed to -released [1]. You could now install the
proprietary fglrx driver on your system, before doing this, make sure to update
your software list with sudo apt-get update command in

And this issue could be reproduced in 12.04.2 stock image.
However, after updated to 3.5.0-54, with xserver-xorg-core-lts-quantal

When trying to open the AMD Catalyst Control Center in Administrative
mode by using the launcher found in dash, you will be ask to enter
password for it, but it always shows su: authentication failure and
exit.

1. Install 14.04 on a I+A system, boot to desktop

But from AMD Catalyst Control Center (amdccle), it says that the system in
using the High Performance GPU
If switch to Power-saving GPU (Intel) by using amdccle, suspend /
resume works fine
