When the computer is started or rebooted, a core of the CPU is always at least
90% loaded. When the Xorg process is terminated via the system monitor,

geforce 940M
Tried different driver version (331,346,352,355,361) from different sources.
PPA: xorg-edgers - black screen
PPA: graphics-drivers - infinite login loop
I have the same issue, pretty sure it's caused by the i915 driver since
it looks like it hangs when switching video mode (screen goes blank) and
the system boots up in recovery mode just fine (without the video
driver).

observation:
Mouse clicks are translated in the following way:
* Y coordinate is always correct.
* X coordinate is only correct if I click on the right edge of U3011 display -
then it is mapped to the right edge of the U3011
Same for me. I observed it only when using touchpad, with external mouse
it seems to not occur.

The same problem here, on Samsung rf511 with Intel chipset.
I my case this is related with unknown display that I found in
gnome-control-center. At beginning I turned it off and now I realized this
prevents from waking up. It is really annoying, because I can only have one
workspace enabled,
I have the same laptop with fedora20 installed. touchpad works fine on
ubuntu 12.04, on f20 it is recognised as generic mouse. Bug is probably
caused upstream.

Could you try to blacklist the i2c_hid module? You can do that by echo
blacklist i2c_hid /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist_i2c_hid.conf and then
reboot. This works for me on Fedora, so might not work for you.

Touchpad works great after doing Carl walk-through on RF510. Driver module
should now compile and install when new kernel will be installed - am I right?
There is only one problem - after booting touchpad works fine on user selection
screen, but when I log on, it's disabled. I can enable it only
same here - since i've updated to 11.04, i can't change brightness with
Fn + Up/Down (dell vostro 3700 with nvidia gt330)
please fix this..

edgers/ppa does fix this bug.
