I get these errors when trying to install or remove any of the nvidia
listed drivers. Since I cannot remove the driver I have to reinstall
That usually crashes everything on the screen, yet i can still ssh to my
laptop and reboot it there. Nothing brings the screen back on again.
When it doesn't crash I think it reverts is back to mirror, I'll have to
check again. But yeah, usually I end up rebooting

echo N > /sys/module/drm_kms_helper/parameters/poll

I have just tested this issue and made a recording. It's very
interesting. I started a stopwatch and just made small circular mouse
movements. I noted that almost every 10 seconds (around the 8 second

Since updating, about a couple weeks ago, whenever I plug my home
Samsung SyncMaster P2450 external HDMI screen into my Dell XPS laptop,
my desktop disappears and both screens go black. Even if I unplug the

Thank removing that file solved my login problem as well as my themes in
nautilus.
Since unity update came out my indicator applets have stopped giving me
issues. I can now click on them to open without holding down the mouse.

I have a GeForce GT 445M and this issue is not resolved with latest
Oneiric. My transition is also totally corrupted and then goes back to
default. If I save my xorg.conf at that point and restart lightdm I have

Please describe to me where in compiz is the "unredirect fullscreen" and
"screen refresh rate" options. I do not find either of them anywhere. refresh
