My solution is to get rid of /lib/systemd/system/nvidia-
persistenced.service for now so systemd doesn't start the daemon. I
wouldn't be surprised if prior driver 535.183.06 never installed this
file. I no longer have a 24.04 system to check... Probably not the
solution for those who actually nee

I also have trouble getting the kernel module for my Realtek Ethernet
(r8169) to function after resuming from suspend which I have noted in
another bug report (#1556676).
My Ethernet work-around (/etc/pm/sleep.d/pm-helper.sh, attached) does

work. AMD does not support kernels greater than 3.19 as shown in their

I went through more nonsense trying to update the bios to version 3.60
but I finally succeeded and reinstalled Ubuntu 14.04. Updating bios 3.50
to 3.60 did not improve anything. I downloaded Ubuntu version 15.0?
