You can either park in their driveway, or there is always parking on the
north side of Market (where the El tracks rise out of the ground so there is
nothing there).

Hello everyone:
Thanks for the suggestions! I think I'll be making an appointment at
the Philadelphia Animal Hospital because of (I hate to admit this!)
parking is going to be easier than anywhere else. I'm sure all of the
recommended vets are great, however.

Hello UC list:
Can anyone recommend a good vet for a routine checkup?
Next month it will have been a year since I adopted my dog. She's
been very healthy, so I haven't had a need to visit the vet until now.
Obviously, I'd prefer to go to one in University City, but Center City
is fine too. VHU

I've taken my cats to 3 vets mentioned in previous emails:
Cat Doctor (Dr. Eigner) on North 22nd Street. She IS very anal (as someone else said), and expensive. She recommends lots of tests and treats you like you are a bad "parent" if you do

OK, this topic has pulled me out of the lurker's woodwork. We took our cat
to O'Neil's a few years ago, and the vet (I'm not sure which one it was - I
think there are several) yanked her out of her carrying box and handled her
very roughly. I was tense the whole visit (not to mention the cat).
I second that one! BTW, my experiences at O'Neal have always been pleasant and the staff very attentive.

We are
looking for recommendations for a vet for our dog. The only times I have
ever used the Vet School is for emergency situations. Do they have an
"outpatient" clinic? If so, how is their "customer service"?
