I tried the ebuilds on amd64. Everything builds fine, but I can't manage to start the database. /etc/init.d/slimserver prints OK, but it does not get actually started. I rerun it, but still nothing. I put the log of /var/log/slimserver on attachment. Note that I used an overlay, I did not directly

Uhm right. So maybe it's FAAD2 anyways? I was using faad2 2.0-r13 (from gentoo's ~x86 portage tree) I tried to compile faad2.5 but the tarball must be wanky, cause it won't compile on my gentoo system. It keeps complaining about a missing bitmap folder. I managed to find the bug you're referrin
