Yes, that is the thread where we have been discussing what should be in
the community player hardware.
Thanks,

I'd like to do a Boom type user interface using the Wandboard and
Community Squeeze OS.
The hardware will consist of a 256x64 OLED display along with an RF
remote control.
The display interface with the SPI port will be easy enough; the remote
is USB. The software framebuffer driver needs

Ok, this is working for me, with the 16 bits mode on PI no problems!!!
Triode's 'RetroBrowser applet'
(http://triodeplugins.googlecode.com/files/RetroBrowser-1.0.zip) might
be worth looking at for ideas.
It displays the contents of an SB3 player on the controller and allows
you to navigate the menus.
It runs on squeezeplay as well.
Thank you very much ! You were very quick on this one ;)
I tested the 1.0 version from google code, just wrote it on a 512Mo sd
card, no configuration whatsoever except on config.txt uncomment the
hdmi_drive line and it works perfectly !
I have tested it with only flac files, rip from CD

Would like a display with better contrast though. Would something like
this work too: http://www.crystalfontz.com/product/CFA634YDIKS
Also, it would be great if the Jivelite menus were accessible through
this display.
Thanks. Squeezproc is relying on LCDd,

Hi giantpopples
Thanks for testing.
I was actually trying to update the kernel when you wrote your message.
Therefore, I decided to follow the advice at the pages you linked to, so
hopefully you will be able to use higher sample rate through HDMI.
Please report back, because I don't have the

Sorry to say but it didn't work. Same jittery noise. When I do a cat
/proc/asound/card0/pcm0p/sub0/hw_params it displays,

Nowadays with a quite powerful client like the wandboard I would prefer
to let the UI code reside on the client side.
Without knowing too much about jivelite's internals I can imagine that
it should not be be too complicated to create a character based or even
a graphics lcd compatible renderer
my bad!
i edited the WRONG hdmi setting
i uncommented the config_hdmi_boost=4 item, which clearly didn't help

Very nice! I will be working on an interface soon for the Wandboard.
