Don't know whether you dealt with this in the meantime, but I was under
the impression that 7.9 was only available from the nightly builds. You
could just download the .deb from
http://downloads.slimdevices.com/nightly/index.php?ver=7.9
I think this should have the perl 5.20

So, I tried the 1.18a Image again. Now without any Problems!
I agree that the microSD could be the Problem. I had only a 8GB Card
available and the Problems

As you can see the checkbox for enabling DSD over PCM isn't available
and there is a message telling me: This player supports native playback
of DSD files. DSD-over-PCM should be configured on the player

Using faad to decode m4a (AAC) is going to be an issue
Thanks for the reply.
Does this mean that faad is missing in 1.18/1.18a or that it is not
working?
Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I'm not familiar with how
piCoPlayer or Squeezlite is working internally.

I have a version of squeezelite for picoplayer
Yes I agree with you.
The thing I don't understand is why the checkbox to enable DSD over PCM
is available in LMS 7.8 even I don't need to add -D option in ExecStart
line in /lib/systemd/system/squeezelite0.service file.
Hi!
Running Windows 7 64 bit and latest Squeezelite.
Then loading a playlist from Spotify it plays a few second with no sound
and skips to next song.
Works fine on my SB3.

Note that I also use another distribution with Squeezelite and LMS for
audio, Daphile.
The latest version of Daphile is using LMS 7.9 too and the checkbox for
enabling DSD over PCM is still existing.
The problem is that I can't see how squeezelite is configured in this
case because Daphile is
I installed SOA on Wandboard Quad today, upated exerything and it works
very well, but ...
Reboot is not possible, i have to do halt -p, switch off/on the ps,
and first than booting again is possible.
Any hint ?

Whose LMS 7.8 is this, VB or Daphile?
Same problem here. Actually just opened a thread in the wrong section
(oops) about it. Here's the issue:
Some mirrors are serving up a totally different file for the same

It's LMS 7.8 in VB.
LMS 7.8 is originally in VB 2.3 distribution.
I've updated LMS 7.8 to LMS 7.9 following the instructions in
communitysqueeze-2.3 webpage:
http://info.vortexbox.org/tiki-index.php?page=communitysqueeze-2.3
When I return to LMS 7.8 in VB 2.3 I get the checkbox to enable DoP
Well,
I've just take a look to daphile in LMS Settings Player I get the
checkbox to enable DoP as you aca see below:

But as you can see and I confirm this fact according to Plugins tab,
Kimmo is still using his own DSD plugin Play DSD Audio Files (v0.2).
Perhaps this fact can make the

I have the same problem on a SABRE Lite (i.MX6Q) board
Next to SoA I also wanted to be able to stream audio through Airplay on
the same audio device. For Arch Linux there is a package called
shairport-git that makes this possible. This works fine however
Squeezelite and Shairport have a conflict using the same audio device so
you need to stop one to
decided to try SOA tonight on my Wandboard Dual. I flashed a SD card,

waited. Eventually lost the web interface, but a couple of hours later
it was not responding on the original ip address, so I rebooted, but its

Sorry to hear about this John and sorry it hasn't worked out. It sounded
like an excellent product and I followed its progress with great
anticipation. I'm amazed at the time and effort you put into it. Do you
use the prototype in your own set up?
If it can offer a service that stops me worrying about the the demise of

streaming services quicker and easier then I'm interested. Michael has
been doing fantastic and unexpected work but who knows how long he and
