I have a Logitech Squeezebox connected to an LMS box based on kubuntu,
all wired and recently it has been dropping out regularly.
I haven't bothered to try to sort this problem, but I must say I can't
understand random attacks of particular products with the complainers
having exactly no informat

Gaps replacing audio usually means either the connection is broken and
remade - this can be seen on WebUI with the elapsed timer being reset to
zero.
