I currently have limited IP control and feedback of any squeezebox
player, hardware or software based. I want simple dnav and transport
control of Jivelite for use with a handheld remote. I’m just going to
use IR.
I think you're not getting my point: do you really want to be able to

I just did a rough test with squeezelite log level setting set to
"stream=info", then running the below script and cycling through some
local tracks and internet streams. The script just copies the log file
and then compares the log to the copy every .3 seconds and if they are
different gets the
hi sodface,
I like your attitude! :) The GNU wget in wget.tcz loads 5 or 6 extra
extensions, and increases the size of pCP by nearly 2M.
I must confess, pCP temporarily loads GNU wget to it talks to pastebin,
but its only there until the next reboot.
I noticed you haven't even been tempted to

Unfortunately, I only have Echo Dots, so I'm not sure if I can debug
that. The Bluezalsa support in pcp does not include direct aac support,
so it would be converted by squeezelite to a normal pcm stream. But
you could try to restrict the codec on the pcp squeezelite page to
pcm,flac to make t

hi fredall,
How deep into this do you want to go?
First you need to understand the basics of Tiny Core Linux, then learn
about (re)creating extensions.
Personally, I don't think it is worth the effort.

Just thinking out loud here! Could be wrong, usually am. :)
If you are going to add a third partition make sure your second
partition is adequate for your future needs.
Plan for a backup strategy.
Think about how you do a full pCP upgrade of the SD card if an instu
update fails.

Roostick forgot to mention that problem is not BBCiPlayer specific,
playing a plain http /AAC stream such as

You can create a 3rd partition with Windows if you want. Then just set
it up on the LMS page. (The drive will show up in the USB mounts area)
Or I can walk you through doing it from ssh sessions if you want.

Hello I as well would like to store music on the SDcard
is there any explanation on
1. how to create a 3rd partition on the card with the rest of the
memory available
2. mount this partition at startup
3. Share this partition with samba so I can remotely load music on
it from the network
Thanky
Hello and first thank you for the great work in PiCorePlayer.
I have installes version 4.0 and added Jivelite. I could load a custom
wallpaper to .Jivelite/userpath/wallpapers
But to get the configuration simpler I would like to remove the original
Wallpapers from Jivelite
I could delete the fil

Start with a working system (pCP wired connection to LMS) and make one

Well to answer my own question.
piCorePlayer is an incredible bit of software that already does
everything I was asking for with a bit of manual config required.
For your DAC :
1) Plug it in via USB
2) Squeezelite Settings
3) Ouput setting "more>"
4) Select your DAC from the list till you have
Just remembered the PI is showing up on Fing so it is live, will an

Yes, I have no problems using Jriver at home with picore, it is seen
immediately with no problems. The reason we switch to Jriver is he is
running a Mac and using minis with Jeremote on them. Unfortunately he
updated the software on the minis and can no longer run squeezebox on
them. He is using

I'm using it actually, is there any alternative which gives some more
control of it?
