I've given up using the pcp Bluetooth feature in its present iteration
(the previous version worked flawlessly) - too many lost and/or missing
paired instances (apart from a permanent Samsung TV which I don't want!

Tablet is linked as streamer. The stream url plays but there's no sound

When I connect a bt headset then the last stream played on disconnect
restarts automatically. This is okay for music and live radio streams.
However it's not too brilliant for audiobooks where it would be ideal if
it restarted and paused at the last listened point.
Possible? Any suggestions?

using aac. The stream plays for approximately for 5 minutes then either

I just did a comparison between 7 and 8 Bluetooth. Sadly, dropouts and
stutters affect 8 whereas 7 is stutter free...
Guess I'm stuck with 7 for the foreseeable...
Messing about with bt settings reduced my 8 setup to a shambles. So I
reinstalled 7.
May return to 8 later.

In pcp 7 the Bluetooth speaker connections were super solid. I'm
finding the same connections in 8 are often subject to dropouts, seems
more prevalent with earbuds...

As I can't use samba., I resurrected an old RAVPower Filehub.
The share name is UsbDisk2_Volume1. Sonos can access and index the
contents. If I add this share name to the pcp network disk mount it
fails to mount.

I was surprised that it works with Sonos.
I have a usb plugged into my router.
Sonos sees this as 192.168.1.1/MUSIC(A1) and can index the files.
PcP can't mount the USB drive using MUSIC(A1) - I suspect it objects to
the (A1). part.

Tried the bt connection with Beoplay H8 'phones on pi-zero ... dreadful
connectivity. In contrast an old set of Creative headphones has
rock-soliid connection, as do various earbuds.
The H8 connect without problems to all other bt transmitters I've
tried.

I noticed after sometime that the usual method of mounting a NAS share
by adding to the fstab file doesn't actually work. If you use mount -a
at the command line then the mount works. I can't find any workaround
within fstab itself to fix

works
When JfJ is used on the OP2 then the rt2800usb drivers are used -
impossible to set wifi settings
I tried to find a way to load the brcmsmc modules in JfJ but was just

I've got Roobarb's bionic 5.4 working with wifi.
It seems the wifi drivers are only available with kernels after 4.
