may need access to configure your neighbors router. I've
never done this either (though I do plan on doing it in a few months),
and I'm not sure if this configuration can yield zero wireless hops
between the server and the SB.

Also, to be clear, the desired router would be a WRT54GL, not a WRT54G.
The extra 'L' stands for Linux and is capable of being flashed with
some very good third party firmware.

A quick bit of googleing reveals that some people seem to have gotten
WMA Lossless to play back on Linux systems via the use of xine and/or
RealPlayer.

use a GUI with that machine. Even if you were to upgrade the RAM, the
processor is also pretty slow.
In an age where P4s with 512MB RAM can be found on craigslist for less
than $100, I wouldn't be messing around with that machine.

I don't have one of these machines, but I think one primary difference
is that the Dell machines come with licensed Fluendo codec packs.
Could be useful, depending on your country and/or feelings towards
software patents...
