Don't know Clear Linux ... Ubuntu works really well for LMS, and don't forget that the PiCore player is based on tiny-core linux, and is very solid as well..I am unfamiliar with how linux plays in a NUC environment, but it should be fine ... -- Bill

Cannot seem to do the upgrade from 6.0 to 7.0 on a RPI .. everything downloads correctly, no errors,..then it simply restores the OS, and reports an error with config.txt .. Do I need a beefier PI ? It is currently running on a Pi 3B 34867

FWIW - Just upgraded from 4.0 to 4.1 -- FLAWLESS. (RPI 3) Rebooted and no issues. re-entered info for USB audio and codec, and off to races ... music access seems to be MUCH faster/more esponsive .. Also - the squeezelite service no longer needs to be manually re-started after a reboot -- music

I currently run Vortexbox upstairs in a VM on ax XP Host ... where will all your music be stored ? If it is currently stored on the windows machine, you will need to connect/mount that folder , or simply copy the library.
