Well, initially I believe I had squeezelite alsa-version, as I installed
it with "sudo apt-get install squeezelite" but apparently this resulted
in squeezelite.service not actually running properly? I have no idea how
or why I had "active (running)" status that was in my first post
though.
Well, admitetly I've had no idea what I've been doing most of the time
for the past few days as I've tried to get any sound out of these
Beaglebones and once succeeded, tried to understand which commands and
changes actually made the difference. Since my previous post, I took a
few steps

Beaglebones are running Debian 10.3
(bone-eMMC-flasher-debian-10.3-iot-armhf-2020-04-06-4gb.img from
beagleboard.org).

Perhaps someone can point me to the right direction with the following
issue:
I am trying to use some Beaglebone Blacks as network music players using
squeezelite but for some reason squeezelite does not show up
automatically. Curiously everything works fine as long as I start
