If you cant set "music folder" in the settings you have a permssion issue . The LMS user is not allowed to read ubuntus music folder ,so change the permissions for the music folder so that it is readable for all users. Further if you want to save playlist the playlist folderr must also be writab

Yes you should be able to do it in the gui on ubuntu via nautilus. Nautilus is the file explorer tool. Right click on your music folder and select properties I think. Change permissions to ensure it works. The last permission should be the one. It should have at least read permission on the m
