forums, my searches failed to turn up any kind of solution.
I've been running pCP 8 and LMS 8 on an RPi 3B. I'd set a static IP
address of x.x.x.99. A new router enables me to link the Pi's MAC
address to the required IP addres

Most people don't need ntpd running and very few have requested ntpd be
default in >8 years.
Currently, ntpd is run once a bootup to sync the time. This is how the
time gets set on most Raspberry Pi's AFAIK.
I think there was another situation, after a power failure, pCP might
boot up faster th
Why not have the network timing protocol turned on by default?
Especially if it is helpful for running LMS or using a clock feature.
Those that want to turn it off for some reason could override the
default setting.

Nice feature. I recommended spelling out NTPD for those that don't know
the abbreviation. Adding "recommended when running LMS so it has
accurate time" would also be helpful.

Very nice to have this in the UI, and I'd say it should be a mandatory
feature for LMS which can get really screwed up with the wrong time and
will save lots of head scratching. Also if you have a clock

I reported this same issue several months ago and I could not figure out
the resolution of the permission to delete the image file. My solution
was also to remove the drive from the pi, connect to windows machine,
and delete it.

I have pCP 8 running on a pi3b+, 3rd partition on the SD for LMS data,
and an attached USB HDD for my library. I use Samba to access the HDD
and the 3rd partition LMS Data, via a windo
AFAICR, I have never had to restart httpd (without deliberately
disabling the GUI).

could have changed with a Synology update too.
Otherwise you can do some logging, and perhaps see something going on.

The different attempts were using different "vers=" values.
So try explicitly setting vers=3 in the pCP options.

I suspect that one of the pCP team will know how to get it working - but
in the meantime you could do some more investigation.
Maybe the output device should be /dev/fb1 rather than /dev/fb0
The Jivelite section in the Tweaks page (where you installed it)
includes the ability to set a screen size

It's a plain 7 inch screen working on HDMI input and yes it was fine on
pCP 7.
I have it set to HD Skin 640x480 normally although it will run higher.

DAC USB or I2S AD1865R NOS DAC (Altera Cyclone IV)
plugin - DSDPlayer (v1.07)
when playing DSD files dsf, dff (2.8 or 5.6) a very high noise level is
heard, about 6dB lower than the useful signal.
Please help with the confuguration

The outputs listed seem to indicate that the dac hat is not being
recognised.
To confirm it is working, I suggest you use the HiFIberry OS.

I'm having trouble getting my new Rpi4 with a Hifiberry DAC2 Pro XLR to
work. No audio comes out of the XLR or even minijack outputs. I searched
and found a few posts back about some settings for this HAT but was
rather confused by them as I've not seen an Extra HATS setting.

It's often a requirement when using a USB headphone dac as a line out
source.
I have an iFi Audio Nano which needs the volume knob to be turned to
full output.
