i triple checked the script from the wiki even under Rasbian and its
"working".
Most of the variables in that script are "needed" to shorten the script
and allows you to copy all lines and pate them directly to you
ssh/terminal session. (The Wikisoftware is quite tricky when posting
code)

Hi @ welcome.
please do two things...
- add a new group (mine is called lms) where "you/(the user that maybe
mount some share)" and the user squeezeboxserver are members.
- change the ownership from your mediafiles/folders to that new group
and if you want to use the localplayerplugin fr

Remember:
*tux is not a single user OS!
If "you" mount a drive - doesnt mean that another user (like -sqbu-) can
see it or use it.
If you didnt mount if with "rw" - nobody can write there (eg changes
permissions)
So again - how did you mount it?

uuh..
now where really at a point, where i am on Michaels side...
Is it Debian or Ubuntu?
Do you have eg some mount point like /media/username/name_of_disk?
We have to figure out, "who" mounts this drive - i dont want to get you
in trouble with something like "must/should/try this/hopefully"..
Hi,
since squeezelite is "just" a reworked Tool that uses all the stuff
thats already good & running years and years and the player didnt chance
(you can even run a 2005 org slimdevices V1 Hardwareplayer) why you need
and newer Version?
You always biuld your own Version if you want ;-)
