Spell check

How is the easiest way to incorporate spell checking into a standalone on different platforms? Are there spellcheck Rev stacks that have been created that can be placed in the script hierarchy? Thanks. ___ use-revolution mailing list use-revolution

Dreamcard Spell Check

I'm new to Revolution and can't find a spell check built into the program. Any suggestions other than purchasing a spell check program? I'm working on a G4 PowerBook, and Tiger's built-in spell check doesn't work. Thanks, Doug Gilliland __

Jim, The RunRevPlanet SpellCheck stack should meet your requirements. You can make the rrpSpellCheck.rev stack a substack and so it become part of Standalone application, which means no extra files to distribute with your app. After it is made a substack, you can spell check a field with just a

I already had the osax installed from some time ago. However, it was installed in the ScriptingAdditions folder in my OS user library. I then installed it in the root library ScriptingAdditions folder and now things work. Don't know why I had to do that -- I thought osaxen would work if in

Spell Check script

have to, I have the words from ubuntu's built-in dictionary (93,000 words) that I could use for my own spellcheck script but I would only do a matching type of script and not recommend words like other (and better) spellcheckers do. I'm wondering if anyone out there knows of a runrev spel

This may not be of interest, but I have a 1.5MB text file, one word per line which is quite comprehensive, it includes separate lines for plural forms of words as well as past and present conjugations of verbs. I wrote a spell checker once in HC. I kept a dictionary (265,000 words) in a separate file. I loaded that file into memory and did a search for each word in my text. If a word found no match in the dictionary, I was notified. My program suggested nearby possible words based on slight misspelling
