you can include a menu in a screen using include-menu ... / tag
if you have multiple screens that needs same menu then you can also
create a decorator and use it in all those screens
looking at your screenshots i think you might have missed to include the
menu

setSessionLocale in this the response type is view-last thats why
its redirecting you on the previous page.

How about in a 9.04 release? Is there such a thing or does it need to be
created? If so, how is data loaded into the DB? Are there any examples
of seed data that have help files in docBook format? And, can 9.04
release even display docBook content?

Before this existed I just used my XML editor (Oxygen) in Eclipse.
By chance Oxygen is handling pretty well Docbook, and it's not expensive (some euros/year)

Even after adding the condition to the view entity, it seems that the condition
is not being taken into consideration.
When we query the view, we get all the records irrespective of the condition
added in the view definition.
Here is the view definition:

you can also do this from a command line as long as the files and jar
are local with no eclipse
java -jar [path from were you are to groovy.jar]groovy.jar
you can install just the demo data for the help.
look up
ant -p for the install file target.
then just install the demo files you want
