It's been quite a while since I worked on CloudStack but I think you
may be able to achieve your goal with a shared network.
You'll loose much of the built-in network flexibility in CloudStack,
but that is most likely also the point.

While someone ponders about the zone wide storage, you could try adding a

As far as I can remember, no - CloudStack does not need to see the

You could configure a shared network and set up the VPN routes on the

Another aproach is to configure a VPC, and add it via the private gateway

Does it work if you do it manually, ie. outside of cloudstack?
Could quite possibly be something wrong with ceph, considering you had
issues with VRs as well.

In my use case i build the images in the cloud, ie. it boots a new
cloudstack VM with PXE boot.
The benefit is that my jenkins master that triggers on git pushes doesn't
have to be in the cloud and images are instantly available after building.
Personally i started this way because i have no idea
For those who doesn't pay attention to or follows ComDev/the committers

This is an excellent opportunity to promote Apache CloudStack (and your
$dayjob if applicable) if anyone want to write a piece :-)

My talk was based on packer-cloudstack, and was made before the changes to
packer.
As mentioned in the issues thread on GitHub, Sander @ SBP plans to make
this a packer built in builder. I don't know if he has gotten around to
start on this yet, but the current best option is to try to get packer
your valuable reply.

Before you put much work into this, you should verify with OVH that they'll
allow other MAC-adresses on your switchport(s).
Some hosting providers limit switchports to a set of pre-defined
MAC-addresses, and that is going to be a pain in the ass to overcome.

https://github.com/apache/cloudstack/pull/731 Should fix the error you see.
Haven't tried, but I guess you could apply it manually

Could be this if you have cloud-init installed:

My guess is that they don't allow other MAC-adresses to use your switch
port.
I reckon seeing a similar problem either here on the ML or on IRC, where
(s)he had to request access to additional MAC addresses, but was forced to
specify them. That is obviously not going to rock very well...

Log in to the SSVM and view any relevant logs (/var/log/*).
Also, is there anything in your management server logs?
