Could you elaborate a bit more about what you're trying to accomplish? At the look of it you seem to want something like this; - two nodes, doing both mgmt server and compute (kvm?) - replicated local storage for compute storage (with drbd)
Instead of doing replicated storage where only 1 node can use it - why not set up a distributed one? I believe there are a few ceph users here, glusterfs could possibly work. But again, if you explain a bit more about the problem you're trying to solve it'll be easier to help. -- Erik On Wed, Nov 23, 2016 at 1:05 AM, Jeroen Keerl <jeroen.ke...@keerl-it.com> wrote: > All, > > > > I’ve been pondering a bit about a possible small-scale, HA setup: > > > > Hardware > > 2 Nodes, each with 2 1Gbe and 2 10Gbe NICs > > Both have hardware RAID controllers, redundant PS, Array controller with > BBWC and hot plug SAS drives. > > > > If we’d “combine” the quick setup for CentOS6 ( > http://docs.cloudstack.apache.org/projects/cloudstack- > installation/en/4.9/qig.html ) with the “additional management server” > part ( http://docs.cloudstack.apache.org/projects/cloudstack- > installation/en/4.9/management-server/index.html# > additional-management-servers ) then we’d have 2 management servers. > > To make the local storage of both nodes “HA”, one could use DRBD in a > “primary-primary” setup, so VM migration is possible as well.
