FYR, I have done some similar tests several weeks ago to test the host HA
functionality.
CS 4.0.2 + XenServer 6.0.2: Works as expected. HA-enabled VMs (including
System VMs) were automatically restarted on HA-dedicated hosts.

The preferred method of assigning traffic is storage and management traffic can

Hi Adrian,
I'm working on GSoC project relevant to cloudstack's sdn controller.
Currently there are some sdn plugins including NiciraNvp and BigswitchVns.
Floodlight haven't been integrated to CS yet. I'm working on two things:

I've powered off a host of a KVM cluster to simulate the server failure and
I'm experiencing the "Agent state cannot be determined, do nothing" loop.
How I can tell the manager that the host is died and to start the HA

there are workaround / database update to declare a host died so that HA
operations can be triggered?

Hi Sanjeev,
Thanks for your reply. I had been associating "private network" with the IP
space allocated to eth0, then trying to divide up that IP space among the
various types of traffic (...because the wiki told me to [1]) If I understand
what you are saying correctly, the division between tra
Hi, are you trying to use a basic zone (one flat network for all guests)
or an advanced zone (one or more guest networks, each with their own
VLAN)? I'm guessing advanced since I don't think a basic zone will
work. For an advanced zone, you need to decide if the guest networks
should be on public
you'll probably need to have a couple interfaces (or bridges) say for
example Outside and Inside (where the guests will live). You'll need to
setup ip forwarding so that your traffic on inside gets routed out via
Outside. I've dont this a long while back but have since forgotten the
gritty details.
Hi Jayapal,

That is good.
2.In basic zone, we need multiple PUBLIC ipaddress per nic not private ip

software's/web-hosting control panels are not running with static Na

Hi Nitin,
Am facing the same issue. Although I have allowed "secstorage allowed
internal sites"
to download a test CentOS ISO I am unable to download. I have set the
management
server as a http server which serves the ISO images. I am able to SSH to

Hi,
Please try mounting via IP address of management server and make sure that

Hi,
I tried with both IP address and with name. And also host is able to reach the
NFS server(connection is perfect).
