Okay, for the record this is a 32-bit windows7 system with only jre7
current version installed.

Hi, I only have the single jre environment on this machine now. I did
download python for windows since two blind programmers used it to write
nvda starting back in 2006 so I figure it'll be an accessible
development platform for me. I'm new at python since I've never been

Hi :)
I think Jude already removed all Java Runtime Environments and then reinstalled
just one? I guess it would be easier for him to do it again. First time is

Hi :)
There are 2 good links to help people post bug-reports
http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/BugReport
https://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/bug/
I think you will find the first one, the wiki one, is more useful to you for

We do not know the system yet. In case of Windows x64 Jude has to
install a 32 bit version of Java 6 (current version number 1.6.0_32).
Such a version can be downloaded from

Is it the Debian packagers that need to know about this? I think they are the
ones that choose which other packages are listed as dependencies of packages in

The main part of Dan's post was to ask for further info.
Surely it's good policy to give people links into documentation and/or maybe
give hints or a possible answer at the same time as asking for info in case
