Sounds like a perfect time to suggest they install LO too.
If an Excel person hadn't immediately found what they were looking for in
Calc they would have immediately claimed that Calc couldn't do the task.

I tried modifying the styles for "internet" and "Internet Visited" but
it didn't seem to affect the results. I couldn't see how to use
styles in Calc so i had to open Writer to modify the styles.

How were you installing.
I extracted the archive, that created a directory. My history is below.
After that you need to change to desktop integration to install that if
needed.
