Is there a way (a command!) to display apache threads while it is running.
I'd like to know how many threads are only for SSL connections?
I've no MaxThreads directive in my httpd.conf and neither in my ssl.conf.
So I think the default is 2048 butthis means 1024 threads for
connections on
check your OS ulimit settings and your apachectl Script ULIMIT_MAX_FILES

I disagree with you Peter, for me ?notable status page on Apache 2.0.58
displays the CURRENTLY processed request in reading state.
I just tested it:
- started apache
- went to status?notable = one request (the one for status)
- starts a request that takes 30 seconds to proceed
- saw a new thread
Can someone confirm that adding the following line in the httpd.conf will
result in keepalives being disabled for Apache 2.2.4 on Windows please:
SetEnv proxy-nokeepalive 1

Our site has been getting roughly the same number of hits per month for
several years. In Februray the number of hits doubled. In March the
number was more than five times the usual. Looking at the referred-by
headers we see names like hotnetslots.com and others that it is hard to
conceive
I rebooted and that cleared up the problem, but do you think this could
be an early warning sign of a failing drive?
