Hi,
You may be getting the "unable to set user and group" error message because
oneadmin user and group IDs are not the same in the front-end and the hosts;
but there are different causes. Take a look at the archives [1], you may
find some hints.
Regards.

oneadmin to kvm and libvirtd group. I also changed the user and group
in /etc/libvirt/qemu.conf
to oneadmin.
Once, I successfully set up Opennebula3.0 on Ubuntu 10.04 with its Debian
package.
I wonder whether this is related to compatibility? So is it possible to set
up Opennebula3.0

Yes, I am able to ping and ssh the VM from the Control Server which is
on the same public VLAN but I am unable to ping that IP from my network
for example.

I am using NFS. oneadmin in the nodes is able to write in the NFS exported

I tried saving the vm using virsh save command on the node.

Apparently, I was using a template I created before upgrading to the 4.0RC.
However, I am still unable to properly set the NETWORK_MASK and GATEWAY.
In my virtual network template I have

Hello Giovanni,
My mistake, I thought I had.
I swear I had already configured qemu as suggested "oneadmin:oneadmin"
(oneadmin is not a valid group), and as suggested on the mailing list to
"oneadmin:cloud", however, I just checked again and it appears that the

Hi,
It would be useful to know if your host is using the shared or the ssh TM
drivers. You should see that /srv/cloud/one/var//7/images/ directory if you
log into your host.
By the way, DISK/SOURCE can be used for compatibility reasons, and only by
users in the oneadmin group [1]. The normal
Hi,
Sounds like libvirt/qemu have a problem restarting the VM. Are the
config files for those daemons under /etc/libvirt set up identically
on all your hosts? Did you make sure that the user that starts the
kvm process is able to read en write to the files? (In my

Ok, so it seems that kvm modules are loaded & ok. You also have permission
denied errors in the log. Double check that the oneadmin user is in the correct
group and also that the libvirt configs are set to the correct groups.

Yes - I had the same idea already :-)
I tried to set management node as host and deploy VM there - it
works ...
So - it seems to be an NFS issue.
But - I cannot shutdown running VM. VM is in shutdown state for a
while and after that is running again

development used the guideline set forth by the Ceph
documentation. In this, it is required to create a client.libvirt user, as
shown in the example in the Ceph documentation. Otherwise, that user is not
validated via Ceph and will be unable to access RBDs in the cluster.
