work in a corporate situation where
continuous integration builds (via CruiseControl) are constantly pushing
snapshots to an intermediary repository.
I was more curious than anything else, since this really isn't too hard a
problem to solve (shell script via cron job, a maven plugin, etc
ut of the build artifact repository. Is that correct? If so,
what's doing the cleaning? A cron job running on the server? A maven class that does
the cleaning when pushing a new version out?
Thanks,

Based on that thread, I build the unversioned JARs, deploy them in my app server, and
then rename before pushing them out to the repository.

This may be a non-issue for Maven, as you could simply say, "well, set up your version
control tool to keep the version numbers in sync between the code and the tests"--just
something to think about.

I'd love to hear what Vincent has to say, if he's encountered these problems, and how
he's resolved them. I assume he's also active on this list?
Thanks,

My inquiry isn't just about convenience. It's about flexibility and integration with
other J2EE tools that can't read information from Maven's POM.

Thanks,
