I recently downloaded the latest OOo and I note there is no longer a Quickstart icon in my Windows XP System Tray? Is it no longer used or did I muff the installation in some way. Apart form that, OOo is working fine. Many thanks, James

Hello, The Club I belong to is moving from using Publisher for a mail merge for membership cards to Open Office Writer. (using WIndows 7) With varying numbers of letters in members names, previously in Publisher it was possible to use 'Text Best Fit' to have the names in the largest possible font

When using Test Document insert/picture/scan/source my HP ScanJet G4050 does not show up -- tried uninstalling/reinstalling Open Office still no scanner shows--the scanner is shown in Adobe Photoshop CS3 etc. works fine using the scan buttons or HP Scan Program, but not in Open Office.
