The Club I belong to is moving from using Publisher for a mail merge
for membership cards to Open Office Writer. (using WIndows 7) With
varying numbers of letters in members names, previously in Publisher
it was possible to use 'Text Best Fit' to have the names in the
largest possible font
Still can't locate any hidden files.
FYI I''m using a 1GB flash drive that was original written to with xp.
Now I'm trying to access it using linux.
If I try to copy to the drive I get 'Read-only file system'

On this standalone Kubuntu box there are two OpenOffice versions: 2.4 -
which seems to be the one that came with Hardy - and 3.1.1, which I
believe I downloaded from the OpenOffice.org site - to circumvent some
of the shortcomings of 2.4 - and is my current
